How is the Liberty passing game? Anyone have stats? If not, ballpark passing yards/game?

If they completed a pass against HJ last night I don't recall it. Maybe a short bubble or something. Nothing down field.

They really only have two guys. At least based on last night.

Spy #45 and you shut them down.

This past week off for WO-S was needed so that the team could REST and heal some of their injuries. I hope we have also worked on some discipline problems that Coach T. addressed a couple of weeks ago too. Simple things like pulling a face mask, can cost us un-necessary stress for the players, coaches and fans. Shaw, Handcock, # 23, and King I believe should be potent in the backfield against Liberty. I like the way coach is using King as a bruiser fullback. What do you fellows think about King carrying the ball on short yardage?  Personally I like it!

Interesting. Of course this is as of last week it looks.  I'm sure some may have surpassed our point total, if so ,since we were off last week.

Sorry posted this in the HJ thread by accident

I will give credit to the big back Liberty has, as a player that played against Jerry Ball it looked all too familiar with 5-6 guys hanging on to drag that beast down. He is a solid back no doubt about it. WOS D-line is quick and there is not many times I have seen there is not 8-10 players in or close to any tackle that is made on the field. I think Liberty will struggle to move the ball against them.

Guess not on game night.

So you can't think of a single example of a team with more talent losing?  I'm not saying HJ doesn't have any talent...I'm just saying that if these two play 10 times, Liberty wins more than they lose.  Having said that...HJ played well enough to win when it mattered.

On that same note.  I think Liberty will give WOS a slightly better game than HJ did.  But it will still be ugly.

What was the score on game night???? So I stand by my quote "Guess not on game night"

The last home game of the season for the seniors and this Mustang team, hoping they pack the stadium to cheer on the Stangs and crush Liberty. Go out with a huge bang on offense and defense. Let the starters play all 4 quarters on their last home game.

I disagree. This game is not the goal. I wouldn't risk injury unnecessarily

I grew up a Vidor Pirate, and now I am a HJ Hawk as my son's play for them. With that said I have ALWAYS had to have WOS on my radar. I can easily say this in this area WOS is the Alabama of high school football always tough always physical and always on top of the district. Over the years they have lost a few, (even some to my Mighty Pirates), but they always bounce back strong and that you have to respect.

You guys who consider yourself analyst look piss poor at doing just that. In a number of ways, you cannot count out a team who has something to play for, the difference between this team amd any other regular season team they have played this year or last year is that, Liberty will be 9-0, That means they have something to play for, even silsbee came out thinking they were going to lose, Liberty has one of if not the best Runningback/Backfield in the region. Qb and Wr core is solid Defense is solid. There is no doubt in my mind that WOS is the best team they will see all year no matter if they go all the way, But every team that plays WOS is trying to play man to man ball how in the hell can you beat a team playing their game that is this high powered, you have to understand Liberty's Coaching Staff and where they have came from, without going any further into detail. Cant Wait to see this game. And if you want specific critiques just ask me.

So much for the 9-0. They will be 8-2
