Silsbee lost to them last year right...I got the tigers ct is balling out and it won't stop next week

I thought the agreement was that all of 9/10 4A bidistrict games would happen in Lufkin.  Thursday night, Friday night (Silsbee/Carthage), then a doubleheader in Saturday. Somebody might be able to confirm or correct me.

Honestly I thought the Lufkin site was shot down . If so glad to see it again. I don't see navasota coming to Lufkin.

I was told earlier today that a couple of 10-4A-I schools did nix the idea of all games being in Lufkin.   Interestingly enough, Navasaota was reportedly not one of those schools.

Pretty sure from what I heard today we'll be playing Crosby on Thursday, 11/10 @ Lamar.

Thanks for the info so I guess Henderson playing either Thurs or sat against Sota. Or have we decided. I thought District champs got first pick.

Not sure one way or the other.  One thing to remember, given that some 10-4A teams have objected to Abe Martin as a venue, the procedures used over the last few years over who played when may be tossed out the window.  Are they for sure, I don't know, that is just my speculation.

Technically Co District champs thanks to Center upset over Kilgore. However, Kilgore is guaranteed the #1 seed due to its head to head win over Henderson. Kilgore plays @ bullard and Henderson @ PaPalestine and Carthage at Chapel hill center is on a bye. All should win easy.

I like the one venue but I thought it was 10 4a that took offense. 

 

94a should be the favorite in all games except Center.  I still don't understand how to they beat Kilgore cause we (Henderson) beat them 56-0 the week before @ center. Carthage honestly is not that great but they are good and have the hardest matchup. Please whomever plays Kilgore you guys are my favorite team next week Btho Kilgore

So I'm guessing that some of those games could be played at Bowers Stadium in Huntsville or Homer Bryce in Nac, especially since Sam Houston State and SFA are both on the road that weekend. (SHSU @ Northwestern State, SFA @ HBU)

If those schools balked at Abe Martin, I doubt they find Homer Bryce any more palatable.  Bowers?  Who knows?

I highly doubt any of us thought Lufkin was bad. Henderson played there for three playoff games 2 years ago. They probably wanted a change in scenery. Personally I like going north but that ain't happening. There isn't too many good venues in between. I would love sfa . I wish they would do like 6a and the Champ plays @ home. Huntsville kinda far and so is new caney.

Ok that makes sense. Lufkin is probably the closest halfway point to (size wise ). Haven't looked at mileage but Henderson is 60 miles to Lufkin.

Lot closer to center and Carthage . Kilgore is about 20 miles further north from Henderson.

Who had a problem with Abe Martin?  I mean, it's closer for the schools up north than for any of us down here, but there's really not a "meet in the middle" location that's suitable.
