The Newton Eagles begin their drive to a Class 3A, Division II state championship tonight as they take on the Waskom Wildcats in bi-district play!  W.T. Johnston's Eagles, 10-0 on the season, wrapped up the 10-3A-II District title with a 5-0 mark after a 68-0 win over Frankston last Friday.  Meanwhile, the Wildcats, 4-6 on the season, finished in fourth place in District 9-3A-II after a 27-21 loss to Harleton last Friday.

The winner of this game will face the winner of the Dallas Triple A/Buffalo match up which is also being played tonight.
