PortArthur33
I think its pretty simple. I didn't like either candidate, tbh. Clinton was a horrible choice for president with all the controversy surrounding her. Dems thought people would pay more attention to Trump's foolishness than looking into her a little more. Trump has the least amount of qualifications for President we've seen in awhile. Obama won the election, but was bashed for having no experience, when Trump really has no experience and more controversy and bs rhetoric surrounding his campaign than probably any other President in modern history. But when you look at it, it was politics. Nothing personal, just politics. The Trumps and Clintons know and are fond of each other. Check out his pre campaign interviews speaking about Hillary. Many compliments on her job as the SOS and very fond of her as a person. Sounds nothing like what he's said on the campaign trail. Trump had a campaign manager that created a strategy that appealed to people that thought they've been overlook the past 8 years. And even his divisive rhetoric and smear campaign and disrespect to women and sleeziness talking about young girls in his pageants and multiple allegations and past lawsuits and recordings which shine a very ugly light on himself weren't enough to say he would be an embarrassing pick for President. I will respect Donald Trump as the POTUS, because the title and position of POTUS deserves that, even though it wasn't given to President Obama. I'm a African American middle class hard working man, and the President's policies honestly never affected my life. It affects the poor and the rich to a certain extent. And something most on this board will agree. But I will disagree with you on two points. First, Obama did receive more than deserved respect for being elected POTUS. Bush received far more disrespect and Trump has received far more disrespect even before he has assumed office. Never before (that I know of) has a President disrespected the former President and administration as much as Obama. And he was blessed with a Liberal media that coddled him like the little sunflowers are being coddled now. If Obama had a "R" after his name he probably would have been forced to resign or would have been impeached. And second, the President's policies effect your life extremely. Many effects are indirect, but have an enormous effect non-the-less.

As a gentleman, I'll agree to disagree on the disrespect part. lol I will agree that every sitting President deals with that, (Bush had a shoe thrown at him) and that is something that gets too out of hand. People have freedom of expression, but it goes tooo far IMO. I wouldn't say the administration policies extremely effect me, but things do change and that occurs with any President. I hate the fact that we look at parties more than we look at the candidate. We're blinded by the red and blue. Whoever has the best ideas, no matter the party will get my vote. I just didn't like either candidate for different reasons. Englebert and 5GallonBucket

Nash, I don't listen to anyone's views on politics who have so much money that the policies they back do not affect them. They made their money in a capitalistic society then attempt to shove socialism down our throats.

But who do we blame when 16 million additional Americans are forced on to food stamps in the last 8 years? Do any of you still blame Bush? If so, why? Obama has had 8 years to rebuild our economy. The fact is, his policies have failed. This despite the fact that he's increased our National Debt more than all the previous presidents combined. Now, I'll tell you I thought Bush did a terrible job his last four years. I'm sure there's some reasons why, but as Truman said, The Buck Stops Here. I don't remember any liberal on here admit to Obama doing a bad job. Why are so many Americans not working? Why 16M more on food stamps? He's not a God. It's okay to say he's done a terrible job. Sure would give credence to any future post you might make. I have listed just a couple of the many negatives he's responsible for. Please feel free to list the positives, but I'd suggest you leave out the Affordable Care Act, since it's not affordable, for most in it, and certainly not for our country to subsidize it. You have the floor.
