Coaching openings

None in our area that I am aware of yet, except Hardin. We usually see a couple before Thanksgiving, I'm wondering if they make a change in Rusk (not sure if this is even in our area) because of the lateness of the situation that occurred there. The only reason I bring up Rusk is because the Interim Head Coach is an ex-Dayton head coach and I though somebody from Bronco land might have some insight.

All towns have their loud mouth idiots. Silsbee has their share.

Nothing to see here. Randy Smith is the AD/HC at Silsbee and will be that way next year.

No rumblings to speak on.

That's good to hear AAW.. I heard he instilled a lot of discipline into the program, gotta give him a chance to build on it.

Adonis will be rb, and Barnes will be returning.

Silsbee will be just fine next year, just to mention a few, Adonis Thomas, Kalon Barnes, Tre Lowe. ......and Jacob Collins at QB, who will have studied & practiced a whole season under the new staff/offense.  Also, these boys have played together for a long time, every season since they were at least 8 years old.

This is how BS rumors get started!

No, sir.... I have it on good authority that after the debacle in Navasota, Fedora reached out to Silsbee about their opening, but they'd already hired Coach Smith.  Maybe AAW can put this rumor to bed as "never happening" or confirm it by saying nothing.

I took your earlier comment as to Fedora being AD/HC at Silsbee next year.

As for he contacting Silsbee in the past, well.......................

    • I too, wish #15 was healthy and playing.  And also another RB (can't recall the #), who went down in the first game of the season. But, some others have stepped up and are hard runners.  I'm really looking forward to watching this game.
    • Still, from what little I saw, it should have been a much closer game.  WOS was missing some fundamentals on defense, and a lack of imaginative play calling on offense.  Just my opinion as an objective observer on Texan Live, which was horrible btw, but that's another story.
    • Either way,one game lead in the series. I rely to much on word of mouth
    • West Orange Stark has been a powerhouse since I csn remember. At some point, your bound to fall off to some degree. Alabama has 3 or 4 loses this season. Who would have thought? Has Orange lost kids to LCM or even Orangefield?
    • Interesting matchup this Friday. Both teams have very good offensive and defensive lines, which will make this game interesting. Having watched Texas High all season, they have a wide open offense with very good skill players. If you look at their stats they run the ball 57% of the time and pass 43% of the time. Personally, that is a bit deceiving, as most of their games have seen reserves running the ball in the 4th quarter. I would estimate the primary offense is 50/50. Through 12 games they have run for 3,224 yds (48tds) and passed for 2,894 yds (32 yds). Potter, the Tiger QB, has been very efficient with a 69% completion rate and 1 interception (which came from a tipped pass). The passing is distributed primarily to 4 receivers…. Ball (865), Wrightner (811), Montgomery (532), & Pilgreen (392). The rushing comes from 3 running backs … Johnson (1,432), Ball (768) & Moore (716).  The Tiger defense is solid and very quick.    Hope #15 is healthy enough to play. He is a test for any defense. I was concerned about the Nederland RB, but felt Texas High did a good job containing him. I wish this game was in the afternoon, as Nachitoches is having their Festival of Lights and their will not be any rooms in the inns and restaurants will be full so plan accordingly. PNG are state champions until someone knocks them off, so I extend the Indians the respect they deserve. Pulling for the Tigers.
