The Newton Eagles look to take one more step toward a potential Class 3A, Division II state championship as they take on the Buffalo Bison in area round play.  W.T. Johnston's Eagles, 11-0 on the season, punched their ticket to this round with a 66-0 bi-district win over Waskom last Friday.  Meanwhile, the Bison, 8-3 on the season, advanced to this round with a 42-0 win over Dallas Triple A Academy.

The winner of this game will face the winner of the Elysian Fields/Jewett Leon game which is being played tonight in Whitehouse.
