Arp 13 Newton 6/FINAL

I feel for you Newton.  I thought this would be the year for you.

Was also surprised but have watched enough playoff football over the years that I shouldn't have been.

What I didn't expect was for Arp to control the game from start to finsh in the manner they did.

Newton didn't seem to ever get much of any momemtum going on either side of the ball. 

Arp also seemed to be the faster team. They have a couple of RB's that can flat run.

Our defense did their job, but the O just couldn't get anything going, we had our chances, dropped wide open deep ball, fumble on the 5yrd line , Arp just had our number last night,

I did not see this one coming. I thought the UIL could go ahead and engrave "Newton" on the sc trophy. Guess thats why you play the game.

I've seen it too many times over the years. Arp was a very god defensive team and I told them on that thread they better not let Arp hang around. All I kept getting was Newton by 3tds+. Now I never expected Arp to really win it but I thought they could hang. Congratulations to my buddy Coach Dale Irwin and the boys. Hard fought win. Good job

Poor Newton falls short every year. Great season though

They have more state champioships than anyone else in the area and more recent. Excluding WOS of course! I would love to play this long year in and year out.

Oh I wasn't knocking them at all. They're great every year.
