To answer your question, I have heard that Trump is trying to make it illegal to desecrate the flag.

This is kind of the actual answer. 

Obviously both issues are legal. On one issue many (most?) people on the left are offended or at least claim to be as they are told that it is offensive. On the other it is perfectly acceptable for some of those same people to burn the American flag but not fly the other.

It depends on who is offended or who is given their marching orders.

Just saw on the news where Congressman Randy Weber said this about the flag burning...

"If you want to burn the American Flag, which I think is abhorrent, all I ask is that you wrap yourself in it first."

As far as the confederate flag goes, what loser fly's a flag to remember a arse whipping. When I see this flag it reminds me of the time the south LOST a war.

Did you see the video? These kids have GRADUATED high school and are now attending COLLEGE, and that's just a sampling from one university. Teachers had to have graded on a huge curve.
