Earl Thomas Injury

Earl was knocked out of the game tonight with a lower leg injury.  X-rays show he has a cracked tibia (shinbone).  During halftime he tweeted that he had a lot of things running through his head, including retirement.  Here's hoping for a speedy recovery and peace with whatever decision he makes.  He's a hell of a player and a class act.

I heard from a couple of different sources that he could be back in time for the NFC Championship if the Seahawks can get that far. Steven Terrell was pretty good beyond that first play that he was in and with the rest of that defense, they should be fine until Earl can return.

I was surprised by the retirement tweet, but hopefully it was just emotion.  Usually broken bones are the "best injuries" to come back from without many complications.

He's too much of a competitor to retire. He'd miss it too much.
