KFDM COOP Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 Barbers Hill at Ewell Jackson Tournament in Houston
EAGLE07 Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 Once again stuck in my cage @ work.....I'm told BH 19 Scarborough 2 in 4 innings.J. Kelley (#4 in BH rotation ) throws all 4 innings. Kelley also goes yard with a grand slam. Catcher Cameron Campbell with a HR also. BH will play @ 6:00 tomorrow night against St.Pius/Willowridge winner...my money is BH vs. St. Pius.
KFDM COOP Posted March 2, 2007 Author Report Posted March 2, 2007 Congrats and thanks for the update.
EAGLE07 Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 You are welcome. By the way, great website/forum.Go Eagles !
bh89-2 Posted March 3, 2007 Report Posted March 3, 2007 Just saw on Houston Chronicle web site BH won against St. Pius 10-0. Not sure how many innings, but think it was a run rule.
EAGLE07 Posted March 3, 2007 Report Posted March 3, 2007 BH wins 10-0 against ST. Pius. Jr. southpaw Ross Hales goes the distance (5 innings) throwing a 1-hitter. Hales was bringing some heat with his fastball and buckling some knees with a nasty curveball. Soph. Alex Rocha starts up the BH sticks with a 3-run triple. After Rocha's triple, all BH bats come alive. LF Colby Townley with another home run...not sure if it was in game #1 or # 2. Game # 2 BH wins again, 4-1 over Milby. JR. lefty Kendall Thamm throws a 7-inning complete game with 14 K's and no walks, giving up one run in the sixth. For the season Thamm has 31 K's and only one walk...with 2 complete games. BH moves to 7-1 on the season and will play @ 1:00 tomorrow @ Butler....not sure who the opponent is yet.
bh146 Posted March 3, 2007 Report Posted March 3, 2007 Thanks for the info EAGLE07. I saw the scores on the Chronicle and was trying to find out who won between Elkins-FB Baptist. That winner played Stratford with the winner playing BH.
EAGLE07 Posted March 3, 2007 Report Posted March 3, 2007 No problem. I hear both Elkins and Stratford have very strong squads. I believe JR. righthander Hunter Silva, BH's #3 pitcher will start on the hill for the Eagles tomorrow.

bh89-2 Posted March 3, 2007 Report Posted March 3, 2007 A local restraunt "Skeeters" has a bracket on their web site for this tournament. Here is the link to the site: This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up
EAGLE07 Posted March 3, 2007 Report Posted March 3, 2007 Good stuff BH89-2..You are on top of it. Eagles vs. Stratford @ 1:00 @ Butler. Worst BH can finish is 4th. See ya @ the 'ship @ 7:00 tonight.
bh89-2 Posted March 3, 2007 Report Posted March 3, 2007 According to this bracket above, we are playing Elkins right now. If we win, next game is 7:00 PM same place. Wished I knew where Bulter is at.
bh146 Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 Barbers Hill lost to Elkins 12-0. BH then defeated North Shore 7-6 for third. Belaire then defeated Elkins for the championship.
bh89-2 Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 WOW !!!!! What happend during the Elkins game? Too deep in the rotation?
bh146 Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 The 7-6 score against North Shore was not accurate (the Chronicle had that score on their website). BH and North Shore actually tied 7-7. BH was awarded third on a tie-breaker.
BHFAN Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 Congrates to the Eagles!! Place Third in the largest Tournament in Texas is nothing to hang your head over. Good Job guys this mut have been a great experiance for BH!
EAGLE07 Posted March 5, 2007 Report Posted March 5, 2007 In the Elkins game, BH played worst game of the season defensively behind Jr. righthander Hunter Silva. Silva had to throw to many pitches. Elkins with a strong hitting squad. 3Rd/4th place against Northshore wasn't too much cleaner..errors from both teams. BH led 7-3 early only to lose lead @ 7-7 tie...and then won the tie breaker. BH hit much better than the 'Stangs to barely pull this one out. In my opinion, these early tourneys have some positives but quite a few negatives also. We have one more smaller tourney this weekend @ BH. I believe most of the BH players and fans are ready for district play to start.
DaShiZZnit Posted March 5, 2007 Report Posted March 5, 2007 BH is looking pretty good.. GOOD LUCK BH. Have a great season!!!!
