TxHoops Posted December 7, 2016 Report Posted December 7, 2016 Ryan Deutsch with a 3 from the corner at the buzzer after a horrific no-call on a charge and an easy lay in for th Wildcats. #2 and #23 McMillon can play for Kirbyville. Quote

Saw a horrific call on a no-charge tonight. Not even close to a charge. I appreciate the Refs are trying to get it right (most of the time), but they can drive me to drink. Quote

The contact occurred outside of the lane with the shooter flying into the defender. Was a pretty easy charge call to be honest. But tonswallow the whistle there was simply awful. As a result, a Wildcat took the air ball and had an easy lay in to break a tie in OT. Lucky for the refs (3 of them failed to make the rudimentary call), the Bobcat 3 at the buzzer served as a bailout rendering the completely botched no call moot as far as the outcome of the game. Sometimes, just sometimes, justice even finds its way to the basketball court Hagar 1 Quote

Sometimes, just sometimes, justice even finds its way to the basketball court Since the Rebels were winning easily, the charge call I saw wasn't a game changer. We had gotten several legitimate charges called. We had subs in and one of our young players drives in and defender tries to get in front of him. Not even close. I know Refs have tendency to "help" teams getting soundly beat. Human nature. But save it for starters, or an obvious call. Overall, they did a fairly good job, just missed this one bad.
