On Nov 8, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was at 18332.74.  As I write this, it is trading at 19538.10 which represents a 6.5% advance in less than a month.  It appears that the markets like the election results.

Corporate America is also cheering Trump's promises of less regulation. Longhi said regulation has a role to play, but believes it "has to be done smartly." 

"When you get into some situations where we're being asked to control some substances in water that are far lower than what nature naturally offers, that's irrational," he said. 

"There was a point in time in the past couple years that I was having to hire more lawyers to try to interpret these new regulations than I was hiring … engineers. That doesn't make any sense."

I  think this is positively some of the best news I have heard in a long time.  No one can make steel like U.S. Steel.  If we are making and selling steel,  someone is building something somewhere.

Nash, maybe people can now see what deregulation can do for industry.  This is great news.

I agree,  What baffles me is that so many don't understand that putting so many constraints on companies limits their ability to be profitable and, as a result, employ people.  They honestly believe the government is always the best solution.  If the government would simply get out of the way and let those that know how to operate their businesses, operate their businesses, everyone will be better off.
