China Springs vs Carthage

At halftime, China Springs up 17-13 over Carthage.  Carthage had two fumbles that has hurt them, and a missed XP.

CS adds a FG. Now up 20-13.  Carthage 1st Dn at CS 20.  Fumbled again earlier but kept CS from scoring.

Carthage scored.   All tied at 20.  Starting 4th Qtr.  Good job with the 3 TO's.

Two min to play.  Still tied 20-20.  Carthage w/1st Dn at CS 30.   Carthage stud RB down with possible knee.

OT at 20-20.

Carthage RB did walk off under his on power.

CS got first shot and Carthage holds.

Carthage fumbles - Again.  Tough.

Both teams missed FG's.  On to third OT.

Not that it matters. But Carthage never tried a field goal in OT. Got held on 4th in first ot. And fumbled in 2nd ot. CS missed fg in 2nd to take it to 3rd ot.

Thanks for the correction.  I was going off post, and one just said missed FG.  Then A couple later said CS missed.  But hey, the kind of game that'll make you limp, regardless of who you support.

I was just listening on the radio. Exciting game to listen too. Though both teams had their chances to win it.

I just watched the replay on the news and Carthage did in fact miss a field goal. It was inches short. CS then tried a FG and it was wide left. Again, not that it matters.

Yes it does, and now everyone should recognize how close coach Smith was to having his team prepared for a state run this year.  I would not overlook the Tigers next year they will definitely be in the conversation.

This is by far my favorite state team Carthage has had. After this year,  I think the Dawgs just have yalls number.  Many Carthage folk would have not been surprised if yall had won. Sure you guys noticed the lack of Carthage posters that week compared to previous years. We knew they had potential to lose the first round or go all the way.  Just depended on which team showed up. Do yall think yall could have ran the table if yall had won?

Based on how that game was played and the following match ups, I would have liked our chances.
