Hardin officially parts ways with Stark

Hardin School Board voted unanimously to part ways with AD/HC Tod Stark last night at board meeting. Stark had been on Administrative Leave since September.

AD/HC job is now officially open at Hardin.

So is he owed the rest of his contract? How does that work? Think he took a payout?

I would assume Hardin ISD has to pay him thru this school year.

Probably a one time, lump sum payout for the remainder of his contract.

so was there anything other than the 0-5 start that led him to be placed on administrative leave?  I don't think I've ever heard of a school doing that.

Luther Van Dam interviewed this morning.  From what I've heard from a couple of board members he apparently "knocked it out of the park."  Coach Van Dam is a great coach and an even better man.

I'm hearing that Haynes doesn't seem to be interested. I heard they may go after Stan Hodges.

Who would even want that job might be better off at a junior high loose 5 and then get fired no class at all nobody will win there  with support like that word does get around to other coaches like I do not think so

Someone will take this job.  Every interview that I have ever been on the word LOYALTY has been discussed....and then they offer you a probationary contract.

Did he turn it down?

Everybody knows this is a tough situation, but COACHES as a whole are a confident bunch. A good coach will truly believe he can go to Hardin and win enough games to further his career. He will also truly believe he can handle the parents and the administration and sill be successful.
