What's the worst that could happen? Why at Lamar's expense?   What's the worst that could happen? 0-10.  That may be OK for some here, but... I would have to see the list first. Woodard wasn't the best on the last list. I don't remember all the names but I do remember they had the opportunity to hire Larry Coker but chose Woodard. Let's not make the same mistake. D3zii Posted December 15, 2016 Report Posted December 15, 2016 Not bad at all...One thing Stump will do that you can count on is try to keep talent from this area here.....Now if he does he will have to hire some good coordinators...lol what about a Arthur Louis. Â He's like a Charlie Strong ahah recruiting wise Quote

He will be inexpensive. 2. He knows the area. At this point, it's worth taking a risk on.  Best case scenario is he wins and you have not set the program back financially. (Unfortunately, if he wins, he will not be here long.). Worst case, he's terrible and you let him go after 3 years (See #1). D3zii 1 Quote

D3zii Posted December 16, 2016 Report Posted December 16, 2016 Not like Lamar is in a win now situation...Hey you have to find the right fit and just cause the name screams big splash doesn't mean it will be... Nothing is wrong with giving Stump a chance UTfanatic 1 Quote

navydawg31 Posted December 18, 2016 Report Posted December 18, 2016 Well Lamar needs to win now situation, when Lamar got passed up to go back to the Sun Belt conference for other teams it was a slap to the face in many eyes of Lamar officials. Now with Idaho leaving Sun Belt is looking at Lamar to come back. This could be our last chance for a very long time. We need to win now and hire a big name guy. Spend the money LU! Reagan 1 Quote

Spend the money LU! True, we haven't had a good track record on hiring coaches. All I'm saying is let's take our time and do the right thing! Sometimes one has to go out and find the the good candidate you want and not wait for someone to come to you. Are they doing that? Maybe -- maybe not! navydawg31 Posted December 18, 2016 Report Posted December 18, 2016 Lamar spend the money we can have a big name guy come, Kendal Briles. He can dominate at this level Reagan 1 Quote
Whoopi Goldberg's Lips Posted December 19, 2016 Report Posted December 19, 2016 You Lamar fans all suck!  Why would you want to go to the sun belt? You guys need to learn your role.  The school, community, and fan base are fcs standard.  Why go where you don't fit?  Plus I like the rivalry with LU and my Pokes. Quote
Reagan Posted December 20, 2016 Report Posted December 20, 2016 How about the Lake Travis coach? I believe Atascosita got spanked by them in the playoffs! Quote
Cat22 Posted December 20, 2016 Report Posted December 20, 2016 Heard Bradly Dale Peveto got an interview. He was ranked the #4 recruiter in the nation at LSU. Quote
About a week ago Posted December 20, 2016 Report Posted December 20, 2016 Lamar needs to stay FCS, they need to worry about building the program before moving into the Sunbelt! Quote
navydawg31 Posted December 20, 2016 Report Posted December 20, 2016 It takes 2 years before coming a full pledge in FBS. Sunbelt is the way to go, get out of the FCS and back to the sunbelt where Lamar belongs and should have never left. Quote
Whoopi Goldberg's Lips Posted December 20, 2016 Report Posted December 20, 2016 ^ So you want LU to end up like ull or ulm or unt or Texas state or nmsu or etc....because that's what will happen. You can't even compete with fcs schools and you want to go play with the big schools? Are you sure you're not aggy? Cuz you sound aggy. About a week ago and UTfanatic 2 Quote
spoonbill Posted December 20, 2016 Report Posted December 20, 2016 Word is Kerwin Bell may be one of the finalists. I could definitely handle that. Quote
