Ull was at a bowl game this year and should have won. So yeah that's a great comparison I want LU to be like them. We have Div 1 athletes all over SETX that go to Texas, Baylor, A&M, Houston, SMU and etc and what do 90% of them do sit the bench and never hear about them again. What if LU was D1 and they stayed home with the combination of the athletes in Houston we get, and if LU had a great coach that could recruit Central and DFW we could easily compete in football. We already beat great D1 teams in baseball yearly. And Tic is working his magic in Basketball. But then we have Whoopi, UTfanatic and aboutaweekago having the typical SETX mindset settling for mediocre and scared to get out there comfort zone. SMH. I bet y'all believe in everyone get a trophy too huh? Lmao.

Do you realize that there are minimum requirements to become a fbs school set by the ncaa? I'm sure LU would pass those with flying colors. Also, ULL has been fbs for over 20 years...And how many bowl games have they been invited to?

^ Check ncaa fbs bylaw 20.9.9.1 for clarification. A school must average at least 15k for a rolling 2 years. LU has averaged about 9k over the past two years. Also, it's gonna be hard to average that when your stadium only holds about 16k. ULLs stadium holds 37k.

You are right, but Lamar has plans to upgrade the facility up to 28k if need be. But who wants to see these small schools come in that I'm sure you never heard of or UNT, ULL or maybe one day another Baylor come to Beaumont. Woodward biggest problem was he didn't sign enough local talent. He finally started and over the past 3 years attendance average rose. Woodward put some great talent together and left the program in great shape for someone to come in and succeed right away.
