Guest Kelly Football Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 Aggies can be no higher than #2 seed in Big 12 TourneyJust looked at the tiebreaker scenarios...if Texas beats Kansas there will be a 3-way tie for first place in the Big 12 standings. Texas would get the #1 seed, A&M would be the #2 seed, and Kansas would be the #3 seed. After conference record, it goes to head-to-head matchups...Kansas would have lost to both Texas and A&M putting them to third. Here's where it gets tricky. A&M and Texas split the season series, so it will go to the next tiebreaker which is South Division record. All three of A&M's losses (unless they lose to Missou Saturday) would be in the South, while Texas would only have two south losses. In order for A&M to move ahead of Texas, they would have to beat Missou and hope for a Kansas win over the Horns.
