AshlyHasBeen
Guess I'm just noticing this, big changes to the 22-5A schedule this year. Teams will play the same district opponent twice in the same week. For example Memorial opens district at home on March 14 against Livingston. They'll then travel to Livingston March 17. The following week they host Lumberton March 21 and travel to Lumberton March 24. What do you think? Could make it tougher to set rotations up. Clueless
21-5a has been doing it for a while. I think it makes it more exciting. Example. When Ned and PNG play, the teams will see the ace one game and the other game different pitchers. Pitching depth comes into play. Coach85
PNG has plenty of pitching buddy. If they come through it won't matter who's on the mound. They just need to hit.

Coach85
Vidrine may not even see the bump. They have Lane and Lebouf are both pumping high 80's low 90's and Petix is ok. B. Morris's can chunk and so can Lejune. There are also a couple of sophomores that can hit mid 80's. Bost can bring it and so can McGowan. There are a couple more that may surprise people but I haven't seen them throw since last season.

With the new pitch count rule and this new schedule, gone are the days of a super stud pitcher winning you a district title. A friend of mines son pitches here in Evadale. I heard he was pretty good. Being an old pitcher, I went to watch him. I'd say I use to throw about the same speed, or to be more exact, my fastball was about the same speed as his change up. Man, these kids today can throw. walldrill
Yeah this was a topic of conversation last year at the coaches convention in Waco. The larger classifications have been doing it throughout the state for a few years now. I like the idea personally. You see more of what you would likely see in a playoff series.
