Definitely not offended.  You must not know me very well if you think in the slightest that you could offend me.  I'm just enough of an adult to know that there should be a difference in the way certain people comment on group forums.  And in a situation where a person can be labeled as "Admin", without pay, on a high school sports forum that literally doesn't matter outside of one tiny geographic area of this state...even under those circumstances, you sir are a disgrace.

Man one little comment from little ol me and all of this. LOL. Sorry to cause such a stir. But I will defend the fact that my comment was on topic. The original top was Ozen's Head Basketball coach. After Coach Boutte was mentioned, it evolved into whether or not he would leave West Brook to take the job if open. In an attempt to explain my reasoning for him to stay in 6A, I referenced Silsbee as an example of a team in a smaller classification that would be very competitive in 6A. Couple of jokes later, it all gets twisted. Can you tell that Dove has been training me  LOL

It had nothing to do with you...or the comment you made referring to Silsbee.  WOSgrad had been butthurt and mad at me since football season because I said something one time about his football team that indicated that they weren't the best team in the universe.  He's been finding excuses to try to make me look bad ever since.  Watch...he'll reply to this thinking that I'm actually affected by it.

Well I don't know about all that football talk. But I will say that WOS might be the best football team in the universe

We had a discussion about our Lincoln program and the good group of Talent we had. In no way shape or form could we compete on a nightly basis on the 5A level(new6A) & have the success we were used to. We would be competitive, but to think we could run every night with those big programs is far fetched. Don't get me wrong, we would fight like Heck, but we wouldn't have the superior team every night. The same would happen to Silsbee today. Competing against 6A every now and again gives you a chance, every night is unthinkable. 6A & 5A are totally different Beasts. The other classifications are even less talented. Listen, what Silsbee is doing hasn't been seen in at least 20 years, but let's not get carried away and think they can Win at 6A ball. Just Win the title that we All hope you can in your classification. Champs or Bust

Any other complaint/investigation other than the current one I'd be optimistic...With a zero tolerance policy/guidelines in place reference the handling $$ @BISD-now  idk...Bad stuff happen to good people everyday...Life is choice driven we live and die by the choices we make...I wish him well...jmo

I disagree coach. Silsbee would compete st any HS level right now. Top 20 team in 6A at least. The #1 team in 6A team beast silsbee by how many points?

No offense Brady, these guys haven't beat the best in their own Class. I admire the Bravado, but that's about as far as I'll go. You guys have been around the kids a lot more than me. I truly respect your opinion, only giving mine. Haven't seen you in  some time. Hope All is well Coach.  I truly hope the Tigers can cut the nets down. Certainly the best collection of talent I've seen in a long time

Silsbee could make noise in the playoffs if they were  5A. However 6A basketball is very strong at the top.   I don't  think Silsbee could  hang in 6A on a consistant basis.

Oh yeah! Nothing but respect between us coach! Silsbee has beat the best in their class this year. Dallas Lincoln was #1 and silsbee beat them by 7 or 9. Now silsbee is #1. SA Wagner was #1 in 6A and beat Silsbee by 4. Dallas Skyline is #5 in 6A and beat silsbee by 2

Have you not seen their score against 2 of the top 5 6A teams?

But what about their scores with College Park and Aleif Taylor? College Park has lost 4 of their last 6 games in district.

Also, Silsbee lost to Skyline by 12, not 2.

Ok you all know I am as big a Tiger fan as there is.  And although I disagree with the statement that we haven't beaten the best in our class, I will agree that competing in that 6a environment every night would not be good on these Tigers.  Don't get me wrong I feel like every one of those games were winnable but we lost all 5 and some of those weren't top end 6A teams. We would have to play our best every night and hope for some breaks.  By the way Brady Skyline beat us by 12 but I think all 5 of those losses were by a total of 27 points. Like was said we don't need to worry about other classifications just win ours!!! 

 

Now we we really need to leave this conversation off this thread,  so that's my last reply.

I must have misread the score on the computer.. My bad. 12 points is still competing. My point is, Silsbee would compete at any level in basketball. My opinion
