AggiesAreWe Posted January 25, 2017 Author Report Posted January 25, 2017 I have a vote in the WRS awards. I have said all along I would be transparent with my vote. Tyler Dixson Posted January 26, 2017 Report Posted January 26, 2017 I would have thought Bruce Newton would have made the cut. Those other 4 are no slouches though. Quote
rhino1877 Posted January 26, 2017 Report Posted January 26, 2017 Congratulations to these young men! Quote

Tyler is a gimme and Vincent was easily the best defensive player at his position this year. And kudos to AAW for the Draper vote. That kid was one of the most impressive players I saw this year. WO-S 89 Posted January 26, 2017 Report Posted January 26, 2017 In the article it said Jack Dallas not Cayce Draper. Quote

So either the Coach feels no one was worthy or just didn't do it.... i would at least at first think a Coach would nominate his best players on each side at the same time...but if he didn't feel he had a standout on one side...... CardinalBacker Posted January 26, 2017 Report Posted January 26, 2017 Before I opened this thread I knew it would be a "but __________ from Silsbee should be on the list/win" kind of party. Morris_era and L-Train11 2 Quote
wosfan1992 Posted January 26, 2017 Report Posted January 26, 2017 Wouldn't be surprised if Morris Joseph was to win it, he had some tremendous stats for d-lineman. Over 150 tackles and at least 20 of those were TFL rhino1877 1 Quote
RoschonsBigBro Posted January 26, 2017 Report Posted January 26, 2017 You already know who I am partial to in this award but at the end of the day, I think that I want my brother to win the award more than he does. The award is great yes, but those college offers are so much better. Congrats to all kids involved. Oh and btw if Roschon doesn't win, give it to Tyler. prepballfan 1 Quote

prepballfan Posted January 29, 2017 Report Posted January 29, 2017 I have very mixed feelings about this season. Having two of our INdians as finalist is an honor, I think Roschon will have more chances to win if not this year. My two candidates other than the INdian on offense is Jack Dallas and Calvin Tyler both amazing seasons. Quote
WOSgrad Posted January 30, 2017 Report Posted January 30, 2017 All of the finalists on both side of the ball bring impressive resumes to the table. Heart says JD and Mo. Head says Calvin Tyler, Jr and Kary Vincent BMTSoulja1 1 Quote
badndn Posted January 31, 2017 Report Posted January 31, 2017 Can someone post some stats for these young men? Quote
Gabe Posted February 2, 2017 Report Posted February 2, 2017 So glad Vincent was added on. He was top defender in area Quote
MAYFIELD Posted February 4, 2017 Report Posted February 4, 2017 I think all are worthy of this honor. Quote
Hagar Posted February 7, 2017 Report Posted February 7, 2017 Congratulations to all finalist. A true honor, named after a great football coach. Coach Smith and Coach Ozen had some major battles on the field, but both sent many Beaumont kids to the NFL. Quote
