scoopno1
Congratulations to the two fine Evadale athletes. I think they had several other outstanding players but did not progress as a team like I would have hoped. Mackey had a lingering foot injury most of the season. I am not sure how much he missed but he had two different stretches that he did not play and I think he missed about 2 1/2 games. I hated that for him. I still believe he has the best hands of any receiver in our area. His speed hurts him a little but he can catch the ball. I have season tickets at Lamar and think he would have helped them a lot. He would've been a nice addition to both the Cougar football and basketball teams this year. I'm glad he is enjoying all this success that he deserves.
