RIP JP White

I apologize if this has already been posted but just saw where JP White, the longtime "voice of the Tigers" or "Tiger Voice" passed away and was laid to rest in the past week.  I didn't know him personally but I have heard nothing but good things about the man and I know he was a mentor and dear friend of AAW's.  Thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.  

Also, did he post here under the handle "Usedtobetigervoice" or something similar a few years back?

That was Wayne Brasher, who was JP and my broadcast partner. Learned a lot from those two. Wayne is still around.

I listened to JP many times in the 80s.  He will be missed.

Loved JP White.

I was a DJ (KWDX) at his radio station part of my SR year in high school. I also was his

spotter in the booth for Tiger football when he and Coach Ted Tate would broadcast.

Funny story: He called me Jeff for almost 40 yrs (my name is not Jeff) thank goodness his daughter Betty Ann would sign my paycheck, or I never would have been able to cash it.

Great guy, I worked with his son for nearly 40 years. He was a character. RIP JP.
