PhatMack19 Posted August 1, 2017 Report Posted August 1, 2017 Bama is currently ranked #52 in the country and 12th in the SEC. I don't ever remember Saban slow playing recruiting like this. I'm sure they will still end up with one of the top ranked recruiting classes, but it's kind of interesting that they only have 7 commits a month before the 1st game. Quote
UTfanatic Posted August 2, 2017 Report Posted August 2, 2017 Interesting side note Agges have the same ranking in the sec as they are in the state of Texas. Third!! "This ain't last year" Quote

Remember how excited Sunflower was when he believed the subterfuge and thought those little tigers were going to be able to close Herman? That was cute. And then came the crocodile tears and spin when he found out what I was telling him was true - LSU was just a little pawn in the big boy game of the super powers... UTfanatic 1 Quote

Footballfan1209 Posted August 15, 2017 Report Posted August 15, 2017 Hope it stays this way, but with how recruits are these days, we better win and get close to 9-10 wins this season. I figure there will be a few areas like TE, WR and DB where we will lose a guy from because of the number of recruits committing in those positions. Quote
UTfanatic Posted August 22, 2017 Report Posted August 22, 2017 Herman did promise in his opening presser to assemble the "best recruiting" staff in America. This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up not bad considering they haven't play a game yet! More sec, sec, sec........ Quote

team first Posted December 6, 2017 Report Posted December 6, 2017 I see Herman either isn't big on recruiting linemen, or can’t. Of course that's probably not that big of deal in the big 12 Quote

I agree, but a coach can go to one of these trainers/coaches and watch 10 kids instead of having to go to 10 different HS’s. Its the same with baseball and basketball. Scouts don’t even really have to go to HS games anymore. Quote

Not while they can be drafted out of high school. AAU is the most corrupt league in sports. Even in the age of 1 and Done, they cannot keep the bag men out of the picture. Sounds like football is heading down the same path. Quote
