Looking for a new job is nothing new. It's just become much more public for coaches in the last 10-15 years. And I don't think it's a secret BISD has been a mess. Can't blame the guy for wanting out of that.

Money , location, etc. Lots go into a job change.

Jag, an idea who the next HC may be?

Can't say for sure but more than likely it will be in house, one who has previous experience as HC, that wants to be there...

I wonder if this will effect the West Brook hire at all?

I doubt it.  I don't see either position being filled until the AD spot is filled.  I do see the Bruins and Jaguars being coached next year by someone that is already on their current staffs.  My opinion, stay away from outsiders, because most are just looking for a platform to somewhere else...

Faircloth has on two occaisions. Thing about that for me is I do not hold it against him. You cannot look to stiffle a coaches life just out of selfish reasoning. My place of work sometimes I see folks get mad about somones promotion. A coach leaving a job to better his family may not have nothing to do with the kids that they have grown to love at the district.

Curious how Central fans feel about this. He didn't win a single playoff game at Central. Not going to be an easy job at Shoemaker only one playoff win in their school's history.

Well to be honest, yet not to bash, most have no problem with him leaving.  Some said they are glad to see him go.  Me, after year 2 when he applied for the Cleveland job, I didn't want him to go.  After year 3 when he applied for the Woodville job, I didn't want him to go.  Good guy, players coach, not what Central needs.  Good guy, authority figure who demands respect from his players is what is needed...imo.  Wish him the best...

You are correct about the playoffs.  0-4.  Should have gotten past the 1st round for sure the last 2 years...

Same reason every head coach goes anywhere.  And also the same reason that ALL head coaches are always looking.  Can't fault a guy for bettering himself financially.

Not many of us would stay at our current jobs if another job was offering you almost a $25K raise, despite it coming with more responsibility...

Man.... what can be said positively about a coach who spends all spring every year trying to find a new job.   ANY job.  Just another job.

BISD shouldn't renew this guy.

He had another year left on his current contract...

Money was a driving point, but working environment had a lot to do with Coach Foreman moving on.

Two of the three coaching positions open and the other just filled this year for the third or fourth time in as many years, so yeah I would say so. Not to mention the AD position.

Information was conveyed to me, and I'll reply the same way.

Good move for him....  Good move for Central...  Good luck and good riddance...

Will be highly suspect if you can do better in the current Bmt district environment... doubtful.

I'm just saying... every year this guy would interview anywhere. Even 3A Woodville.

Admin shouldn't support guys who have one foot out the door every spring.

I have several good friends in the coaching world.  Sometimes coaches apply places and interview to keep their name in circulation just in case a potential life changing job opportunity comes open.  Or to simply keep practiced in their interview skills.  If you think that you're going to hire a coach that's going to spend their career at your school, then I'm afraid you're going to be disappointed.  Those days are gone.  They know that their career is literally on the line every single year depending on parents, school boards, administrators.... Coaches are looking out for the best interest of themselves and their family...who are you to claim that they shouldn't?

You really think that the head coach at your school isn't looking at that job board?  I'm not saying he wants to leave, but I'd bet however many dollars you have that he would at least send a resume if he saw the right job open up.

"Admin shouldn't support guys who have one foot out the door"...  give me a break.

I mean last year, Tom Westerberg left a job in Allen that most people would not think of leaving. Everyone has their reasons.

For a very good pay raise. You have to start thinking about retirement when you reach a certain age.  You never know how the system will change.

Didn't Westerberg leave Allen to persue the AD/ Head Coach job at BH and at Allen he was just the head coach?
