Guy makes a good point.  Program, started under Reagan to provide land line phones for low income families.  Then, wireless phones.  Now they want Internet.  Like most programs, or movements, there's no end.  Just gets bigger and bigger.  Imo, Cut the cell phones and just put land lines.  You want a cell phone, go to work.

I didn't know there was such a phone program. I work two jobs so I can have  wifi and wireless.  Too much red tape and too many red necks to try for such a phone.  I'd just as soon pay att and verizon.

Unfortunately there is.  There is a tax on land lines called the "Universal Fee."  I believe this is how the "obamaphones" are paid for.  This tax needs to be done away with immediately!
