Coach85 Posted January 2, 2017 Report Posted January 2, 2017 I think Monte deserves it but if he doesn't have a masters and it's required then they will have to go outside. The NISD would not approve the separation of the AD/HC and pay two salaries. AthleticSupporter - Jock and outanup 2

Hagar Posted January 2, 2017 Report Posted January 2, 2017 I'm sure surprised. Guess he's just tired of the grind. Hope he's got a recliner. Absolute necessity for retired folks. Just a suggestion Coach. And one more thing, you did a heckuva job coaching. You will be missed when the 2017 football season starts up. Enjoy your Retirement. KF89, jake94 and Long Tall Texan 3

Way better... He won't leave there (Atascocita)...
NHSBulldogFan Posted January 2, 2017 Report Posted January 2, 2017 Congrats to Coach Neumann on retirement. This will be an outside hire I'm sure there will be a ton of applicants should be able to get a good coach.

Proud Dawg Posted January 2, 2017 Report Posted January 2, 2017 Are yall sure that this job will require a masters degree. Not sure what the qualifications are because the job hasn't been posted

outanup Posted January 2, 2017 Report Posted January 2, 2017 If they give it to someone from within, my vote is for Barrow.....I would love to see him get the opportunity. But the AD position is Administrative, and requires a masters. Brubaker 1

bobbymcgee Posted January 2, 2017 Report Posted January 2, 2017 If a masters is required and Barrow thought he had a shot at this job wouldn't he have gotten it by now? Lamar offers that online educational administration masters program that he could have easily completed. The fact that he didn't bother to get one leads me to believe the admin wants to go from outside on this one.
PhatMack19 Posted January 2, 2017 Report Posted January 2, 2017 Delbert is also retiring. Smitty will be excited. Brian Spell has his Masters. Not sure if he would want the job though. MrUmp1 and JoeBuck111 2

AHUDDLESTON Posted January 2, 2017 Report Posted January 2, 2017 Ok. A masters is not required for the athletic director job according to the state or uil. The local district makes that decision. Most will put masters preferred.

Bisd has great athletes, but they don't know which school they will go to. At Nederland a coach can start his program in middle school. BISD doesn't have that luxury. Plus you factor in what happened at the end of the year, I could see him wanting to get out of Beaumont. jake94, mytwocents-28 and outanup 3
