Coverage of boys basketball games

The lack of coverage of Silsbee boys basketball is offensive. Both the Beaumont Enterprise and local channels have chosen not to give the attention that you would think a team ranked #1 in the state should get. We won 124 to 84 last night in Huntsville, a pretty impressive score. These guys are outstanding athletes and deserve better. We had a misfortunate conflict with LCM but stern punishments were given ( and we did not instigate the fight). I believe Silsbee is being tagged as troublemakers. We certainly are not the only school district where problems arise. What about WOS student that recently called in bomb threat to our school. Last year Jasper started fight with our boys as they were loading on the bus to come home. LCM boys were taunting our boys on social media leading up to the game and started altercation in recent game. .Complaints that we run up the score is uncalled for. We rotate all our boys and our 2nd and 3rd string are strong players as well!! GIVE US THE COVERAGE WE DESERVE

Again, for the 1000th time, Silsbee gets their fair share of media coverage.

Talk about not taking responsibility for your OWN actions. How will kids learn when they have parents and adults making excuses for them constantly?

I don't think people around the area are labeling the Tigers as "troublemakers" Not ONE person I have talked to have faulted the team for what happened. There is only one Silsbee player who has taken public criticism and rightfully so. What he did is indefensible, but the team as a whole has not been criticized.
