WOSgrad Posted March 3, 2017 Report Posted March 3, 2017 The Silsbee Tigers look to take one more step towards a 4A State Championship tonight as they face the La Vega Pirates in this Class 4A, Region III semifinal. The road to this semifinal for Joe Sigler's Tigers, 29-6 on the season, began with a 105-55 bi-district win over Huntington, followed by an area round victory over Hardin-Jefferson, 98-61 and capped with a 124-84 Region III quarterfinal win over Houston North Forest. Meanwhile, La Vega, champions of District 17-4A and 24-9 on the season, started its playoff road with a 71-59 bi-district win over Madisonville, followed by a 77-71 area round win over Liberty Hill and a Region III quarterfinal win over Lorena, 74-41. The winner of this game will face the winner of the Houston Yates/Waco Connally winner tomorrow at 1 pm.
