Jones said he would always tell his son they had 1 of the best teams to come through Silsbee and that they would beat them but they did something we couldn't do so that makes them the best! Quote

That was a great Silsbee team. They probably would have won state that year except they ran into an even greater PA Lincoln team with Stephen Jackson. Quote

I told them about scoring 100 + points, and 30pt victories, 80 pt victories, and wins over this team and that. Then they ask me, well, has Silsbee won state? I told them no. Why? IDK. Silsbee has a state title now. Validation. It means basketball validation. No need to transfer here or there to get recognition. It is all right there in Silsbee. Quote
