king Posted May 31, 2017 Report Posted May 31, 2017 We outscored the Twins 38-8 in the sweep vs the Twins. Now let's jump on the Rangers this weekend Quote
baddog Posted June 3, 2017 Report Posted June 3, 2017 Beat the Rangers 7-1 and have won 9 of their last 10. Keep it going! Quote
baddog Posted June 4, 2017 Report Posted June 4, 2017 Beat the Rangers again 6-5. This lineup of hitters is very fun to watch. Quote
baddog Posted June 4, 2017 Report Posted June 4, 2017 Top of the 4th, Astros up 5-0. Shutting out the Rangers with Peacock, a converted reliever. Springer and Correa with solo HRs. A win here will be a franchise record..... 10 straight road wins. Quote
baddog Posted June 4, 2017 Report Posted June 4, 2017 Springer with another solo HR. Hottest player in the majors. Pitching change...... Quote
Hook'em Posted June 6, 2017 Author Report Posted June 6, 2017 I guess Mike Fiers realized he was pitching for his job and has looked good over his last start and early so far in this start. Quote

He's keeping the ball down more, but still throws fat over the plate and a little up in the strike zone. HRs have given him fits. Astros at least give run support. Hook'em 1 Quote
king Posted June 6, 2017 Report Posted June 6, 2017 It seems like Everytime a team gets close we pull away by 5 runs. This team is so so good. Let's hope we can do the same in the playoffs Hook'em 1 Quote

Not sure when McHugh comes back but it will make us even stronger with all the run support. Quote
king Posted June 8, 2017 Report Posted June 8, 2017 We lost 2 in a row now it doesn't t hurt that Angels/Rangers lost and Mariners are losing. Still a big division lead regardless but anytime we lose and rest of division loses it's a win Quote
king Posted June 16, 2017 Report Posted June 16, 2017 Astros are hurting on the pitching rotation. Everyone is out. Big series vs Red Sox this weekend Quote

Musgrove is assuring he will be sent down to the minors once we get a couple of starters back from the DL. I always thought he would pan out as a #3 or 4 starter but it looks like I was wrong, he is a dumpster fire! Quote

Need another lefty in the pen. Not crazy about Sipp, although he has his days. Quote

I have a gut feeling we make a play for Gerrit Cole and Tony Watson (lefty reliever) from Pittsburgh. I have little to no trust in Sipp coming into a tight situation in the playoffs. Quote

I'm a strong believer in lefty relief unless your starter is a lefty. Could be why I'm not a manager. Hook'em 1 Quote
baddog Posted June 29, 2017 Report Posted June 29, 2017 Guduan pitching well today throwing in the mid 90s. Quote
BS Wildcats Posted July 2, 2017 Report Posted July 2, 2017 The bullpen is terrible. Why so much micro-managing by Hinch? Let the starter start the inning and then go get him if he starts to struggle. Will Harris was just awful tonight. Starters used to go eight and then you got the closer. Quote

BS Wildcats Posted July 2, 2017 Report Posted July 2, 2017 Good win!! Crazy ending on a base running error by Gardner Quote
