I heard last night from a Lee players father that Lee had a few fail and the coach just threw in the season. Wont play anymore games.

Think its the soph team but still.

So the sophomore team will not play any more games?

Happens all the time in football after grades come out.

Will graduation hurt GCM bad, do they have a lot of seniors?

How are the under squads doing?

should compete next year too?

I do not know about the undersquads.

They bring back 2 D1 commits. For what that's worth.

They should compete every year. Have since day one. GCM Baseball is the most successful program in GCCISD since the school opened.

Sophomore team has some talent. Has been coached well at all this season.  JV has a couple that could play with Varsity but there just wasnt room from what I have seen.

Losing alot of seniors but only a few of them were contributers. Will still have alot of talent coming back. The JV underperformed like the Varsity but have a few that will slide right in with no drop off. I feel they'll have a better season next year. You have a strong core of juniors and sophomores that played travel ball together on and off over the years. I think they'll mesh better than this year's group did. I heard that there was discord between the seniors and the underclassmen this year.

6A baseball is a little different from 5a...you need 4-6 pitchers in 6a to win you games....lineups are little more stronger from 1-9 in 6a...

This has nothing to do with the jump to 6A.

You need 2 pitchers to win games at any level- Tuesday and Friday.

Depth helps. You need kids to eat innings in tournament time, but if you have 2 legit arms, you should make the playoffs.

You should have stronger lineups in 6A. You have a larger pool of talent to choose from. GCM has a very strong talent pool.

Coaching staff does a good job. They work hard. It is hard to get buy in when the "studs" care more about individual glory than team accomplishments. Evident with them showing up late to practice nearly everyday and constantly talking how great they are and they "got theirs" during games. Coaches have coached hard all year, just haven't had some things go the GCM way.

Well a coaching staff cant let the studs have different rules than everyone else and expect everything to go smoothly. The one "stud" even quit and was allowed to come right back into the lineup a game later. Coaching staff is in way over their heads. Thames or Rupp would have this team going on a deep playoff run.

Couldn't have said it any better. Since that stud can do what ever he pleases whats gonna change next year.
