What caused Trump and some Republicans to change their minds? They were opposed to the idea when President Obama brought the idea to Congress. Are we going to start accepting syrian refugees again since we just bombed them?

Assad using poison gas on his people caused the change. Most people call them WMDs, but your definition seems to differ. Either way, using poison gas crossed Trump's red line. And unlike what we are used to, Trump backed up his talk. And Senator Rubio articulated why Trump was well within his rights and duty as U.S. President to order this strike.

And are you implying that Trump actually fired the missiles himself? Do you think Trump flew out to the ship, loaded the missiles, then ran up to the bridge and pressed the fire button all by himself? I seem to recall you making that same type of assertion on a different subject. Looking at it from the another point of view sheds a bright light on just how stupid that sounds.

Why has the Republicans stance changed? Trump ridiculed Hilliary Clinton during a debate, especially when she talked about no fly zones. He said it would start WW3. Now he is considering it. So sad

Obama did order them, over a year after his red line was crossed.

Seemed to be politically motivated because of the timing.
