Richest County in the Country is Now in Texas

And two other Texas counties are near the top of the list.  Pretty remarkable since 10 years ago, Texas didn't have a county in the top 30.  One fact I get out of this, if Texas did secede, we'd be one of the richest countries in the world - just hypothetically speaking.

It's kind of sad at the same time.  Drive through south Texas now and all you see are miles and miles of high fences.
