If the Tigers win, they share the district title with the Mustangs with the #1 seed to be determined. A loss leaves them with the #2 seed. Michael Nelson's Tigers, 22-3 on the season, improved to 8-1 in district play on Friday with a 12-0 win over Little Cypress-Mauriceville. Meanwhile, Shea Landry's Mustangs, 20-3 on the season, improved their record to a district leading 9-0 with a 7-3 win over Orangefield on Friday. The Mustangs took the first game between these two in West Orange on April 7th, 6-5.
