NeDeRlAnD b-DoG fAn Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 Ya he is Nederland's ace pitcher coach. I THINK he pitch 5 1/3 innings and gave up 8 or 9 runs. But a few of those runs were unearned
Mack3 Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 I would say more then a few of the runs were unearned against Helmke. The Dogs were charged with only 2 errors but there were at least 2-3 other plays that really should have been made. The defense needs to step up or the season is not going to be near as successful as anticipated.

Guest coach Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 thats surprising..I thought nederland would have a better showing. atleast at there batting!
Guest coach Posted March 10, 2007 Report Posted March 10, 2007 WOW! Very surprised at Nederland..I am sure they are also... Especially after pitching there ACE..
AshlyHasBeen Posted March 10, 2007 Report Posted March 10, 2007 No worries Big Ned this is a tough tournament with some quality 5A squads. My Sr. year we were soundly defeated by Elkins and Deer Park before raining out against Houston Lee (sometimes the lord listens to prayers, lol). These games will help in the end just like I think the 5A schedule is helping the Tribe.
KFDM COOP Posted March 10, 2007 Author Report Posted March 10, 2007 DEER PARK - Likely Class 5A playoff teams La Porte and Clear Creek made for another tough day for the Nederland Bulldogs at the Deer Park baseball tournament.Nederland was unable to take advantage of an errorless defensive effort against La Porte as the Nederland hitters got only three hits and La Porte's Bulldogs triumphed by a 5-1 count. Micah Mosley's double was Nederland's highlight.
