I understand what you're saying.  But my point is, why does the Democratic Party take such a cavalier attitude toward illegal immigration?  Why are we in the position of locking up so many illegals?  Because we ignored the massive numbers crossing our borders.  Republicans and Democrats alike.  

There's a procedure for entering the US legally.  It to is a vetting process.  Closed the borders as well as possible, and use the legal way.
