Guest ECBucFan Posted May 3, 2017 Report Posted May 3, 2017 http://www.beaumontenterprise.com/sports/hs/article/UIL-adjusts-state-football-championship-schedule-11115843.php The state championships will be spread out over four days - Dec. 20 to 23 - and feature just three games a day at Arlington's AT&T Stadium. Previously, the three-day state title schedule had four games a day with the first game kicking off at 10 a.m. and the final game at 8 p.m. The first game of the day will kick off at 11 a.m. and the last one at 7 p.m., helping ease a cramped schedule that often meant games didn't kick off at their proper start times. Guest ECBucFan Posted May 3, 2017 Report Posted May 3, 2017 I hated to see 10 AM football, or 1 AM football... This ought to be better. Quote
Guest ECBucFan Posted May 5, 2017 Report Posted May 5, 2017 Does anyone know if this means that there will be an "off week" before the SC games? It seems too fast to have the smaller schools play on Saturday the 16th then play the SC game on Wednesday the 20th four days later. Quote
Matthew328 Posted May 5, 2017 Report Posted May 5, 2017 Small schools haven't been playing Saturday playoff games for the most part in about eight years....most all the games are Thur/Fri..my guess is 2A Div. I will probably play semi-final games on Thur night Quote
