Posted May 9, 2017 Author Report Share Posted May 9, 2017 from the baytown sun The Goose Creek Consolidated Independent School District approved the hiring of Tim Finn as the next coach of the Baytown Lee Gander football program and campus athletic coordinator. Finn has served as the head coach of Wharton since 2012 and developed the program into a consistent playoff program. When he took the job, the Tigers were on a five-year losing streak. Last season, he guided the 4A program to an 8-5 record and a playoff run three games deep. Prior to taking the Wharton job, Finn had coached at Texas City for 21 years including 10 at a head coach and athletic director. Posted May 9, 2017 Author Report Share Posted May 9, 2017 from what i can find at Wharton he ran a 3-4 defense, on offense they were spread lots of 3x1 and 2x2 basic spread doesn't mean that is what he will do here though. Doesn't seem like the guy that would want to have to start from a 1-29 place at this stage in his career. That salary is a heck of a draw.
