No buildings burned, no stores looted, or no policemen shot and killed, seems like a peaceful protest.  Isn't this what America is about, freedom of speech.  I don't agree with what took place in the days of slavery.  The protest was peaceful, no big deal.  I know the racist that post here will scream otherwise.

Guess we need to take Coca Cola off the shelves and burn the factories. Coca Cola was invented by a Lieutenant in the Confederate army. 

Westend, what do you have against the south and confederate statues?

I defend their right to protest, even though I don't necessarily agree with how they were protesting. They aren't helping their cause by likening themselves to the KKK. I do, however appreciate that it didn't result in any injuries, property damage, or arrests.

Please expound on what you find offensive? I'm very curious to as to why you think these peaceful protests should be subjected to oppression and denied their 1st amendment rights.

I can't help but wonder had the demonstrators been leftist, physically attacking a person with a MAGA hat on, if the mayor would have been outraged.  Let me think on that........

It's a real shame nobody was assaulted or no police cars were crapped on...they could have run with that story for weeks.

The left should take notes on how to peacefully protest.
