Most of those on the 'left' here are black.  Those on the other side are white.  There is a reason for that. Race issues in america are as constant as the air we breathe.

The problem with the lefties here is that any opposition to the the socialist policies of Obama, are automatically construed as racism by you and others.

I've seen several post stating blacks are not monolithic in their thinking/politics.  Maybe not in a literal 100% sense, but when 59 voting precincts in Philadelphia did not have one single vote for Romney, that's as monolithic as it gets.

Back to race issues.  On this forum, yes most whites are on the right, but in 2008 & 2012 Obama received 43% and 39% of the white vote.  I'd bet fewer than 3% of whites voted against Obama because of race (probably 1%).  I look forward to the day when 40% of blacks vote republican.  Then the race issues in America will, for all practical purposes, be a thing of the past.

As I and others have stated time and time again ad nauseam black people, native african americans are not monolithic in their thinking.   There are maybe 40 million blacks in this country.  It is impossible to get that many people to think as one. ..................

According to new tobie there are four or five.....

So 39,999,995 - 5?

Race is not a factor because it is always a factor. If u bring it up they will say you are playing a card, but race was an issue all the time.

Racial, racist are derivatives of the word race.  Racist has the most negative connotation.  When I use the word race I use it for a reason.  When they take a census  they use the word race.  When they have u fill out a driver license form, again, race is used.  They don't ask 'are you a racist?'  They would stir up too much negativity.

Regarding sheriff Clarke.  I don't listen to what he says, and I  don't read many articles by or about him. I can't remember  the last time I watched more than 5 minutes of fox news. He is not a sheriff in Texas.  Whatever area he worked in, well, i don't think I will ever drive through it.

I'm well aware of my terminology. Since Clarke doesn't seem to mind taking shots at some of the black leaders and calling them names, I thought that maybe he doesn't like black people. That could make him seem RACIST.

It seems to me that black people would rather have a leader like Clarke than the likes of Al Sharpton, who likes strippers and attempted murderers, going so far as funding her college, and without so much as an apology for helping to ruin the lives of 4 young white men she had arrested for rape. Only the shadow of a man who wouldn't apologize for that. Hey, but that's what you follow.

He's now working for Homeland Security, so he's everywhere.

I was born in the USA, in a town called Kountze, Tx.  I live a quiet, law abiding life, boring actually.  I go to church, pray.  I got a guardian angel.  I am not concerned about him or anyone else.

Don't know who your leaders may be. My leaders would never be Clarke or Sharpton, thats a slap in the face. The people I look up to come from my household and my neighborhood. Why you guys want to make Sharpton the leader of blacks amazes me. My grandmother was one of my leaders, above even the president.

Al Sharpton is okay.  I don't follow him.  That's a stereotype.

No. But if he had the same personality and ethics but wasn't a Republican, would you even be discussing him. Colin Powell is a prime example. Republicans loved him untill.........John McCain was great when he was the Republican candidate for president, but last year when he expressed his disinterest in Trump.......

I don't have to label everyone. I trust people until they give me reason not to. I can listen to someone and tell if they are genuine. This is not too say I can't be fooled because anyone can.

Tell me this....... Who the heck likes anyone that does not speak and feel their agenda? Clarke takes no prisoners and is not pc. I like that in anyone regardless of skin color. He speaks discipline, something that has been lost on the past two generations. This had created your Berkeley crowd and your gang bangers. Absolutely no discipline and they respect no one.

They did, but my contention is that blacks are virtually monolithic in their voting for the Democratic Party.  That's why the right is so enthusiastic when a black abandons a Party that has done so little for them, and makes his, or hers, own decision to follow the Republicans, who have historically done more for them.
