jv_coach Posted May 24, 2017 Report Posted May 24, 2017 My question is this. Who is more likely able to stabilize the region the Sunni but more secular Saudi King or the Shia's of Iran and their twelvers eschatology of world calamity to usher in the last Imam who brings about a world caliphate of Sharia law? There are no solutions to any problem only trade-offs, and if my Islamic theology is not 100% accurate I apologize for Islamic beliefs and sects are more numerous then drive thru beer stores in Texas. So yes, this gives Saudi more flex appeal in the region and yes they had some citiizens involved in 9-11, but they if I remember correctly was more Shia then sunni. I could be wrong and either way when dealing with the mideast you gotta watch out and not step in all the Shiites. Quote
