That's all we need...a new worthless Federal department that does nothing but suck taxpayer money and will be full of fraud and corruption. The government got bigger when the Democrats took control of the House and Senate. And yes, I do blame Bush for a lot of the growth.

Now compare those numbers to Obama's reign. I can spell it out for you: an increase in Federal tax revenue while simultaneously accumulating $20 trillion in debt. 

The GOP has not done nearly enough to cut the size of the government. All they have done when in power is curtail the growth a little bit. This is unacceptable and is why I'm for secession. The Liberal Party (formerly known as the Democrat Party) is just unabashed socialists.

I consider "big government" a government who intrudes into our everyday lives telling us everything to do instead of allowing us to be free thinkers......sheeple if you will. I really didn't think of it as the way they waste money or the size of the budget. Oh well, learn something everyday or put me six feet under.

I think of it as both. The bigger the government the more they will intrude in our lives, and the more money and personnel they need for this intrusion. Thus, bigger government is more regulations, and the more we pay (monetarily and with our freedoms).
