Hope the Supers and CWS are as entertaining as the Regionals have been thus far. 11 of the 16 regionals still undecided. Should be a great day of baseball. Quote

PhatMack19 Posted June 5, 2017 Author Report Posted June 5, 2017 Ags win 4-3 to advance to the Supers in College Station against Davidson. We tried to blow a 4-0 lead in the bottom of 9. I lost a few years that last inning. Quote
PhatMack19 Posted June 5, 2017 Author Report Posted June 5, 2017 Sam up on Tech 4-3 in the bottom of 8. Sam 3 outs away from the Supers Quote
PhatMack19 Posted June 5, 2017 Author Report Posted June 5, 2017 Sam Houston St wins the Lubbock Regional to advance to the Supers. Quote
PhatMack19 Posted June 5, 2017 Author Report Posted June 5, 2017 so 8 teams have advanced:#1 Louisville#1 LSU#1 Wake Forest#1 Oregon State#2 Fullerton#3 Texas A&M#3 Sam Houston State#4 Davidson 3 national seeds have been eliminated. also 6 of last year's CWS participants are gone. Only Florida and TCU have a chance to go back-to-back Quote
Englebert Posted June 5, 2017 Report Posted June 5, 2017 Three teams from Texas will advance, with the possibility of a fourth. Texas A&M and Sam Houston St have advanced, Dallas Baptist (barring a miracle comeback by Virginia) will play TCU in the finals of the Fort Worth regional, and Texas needs to beat Long Beach State for the state to have four representatives. Not bad considering the state only had the possibility of advancing 5 teams. Dallas Baptist is up 11-3 on Virginia in the bottom of the 8th. Virginia is down to their last 3 outs. Quote
PhatMack19 Posted June 5, 2017 Author Report Posted June 5, 2017 Matt Deggs at Sam is pretty legit. I don't see him being there much longer. Quote

team first Posted June 6, 2017 Report Posted June 6, 2017 Cmon Texas at least try bunting for 1 run you can do it Quote
Hook'em Posted June 6, 2017 Report Posted June 6, 2017 UT drops the final game of the regional to Long Beach State 2-1. Sloppy game early, but pitchers took over late. LB State's catcher and left handed specialist out of the bullpen really impressed me. I have a feeling Pierce will have the Horns back in Omaha soon! My stepbrother played for him at SHSU and said he would be absolutely shocked if he doesn't get them back to Omaha by 2019-2020. Quote
Peppermint Patty Posted June 6, 2017 Report Posted June 6, 2017 In the end Texas was the team we knew they were. Solid pitching. Can't hit. Hopefully Pierce can weed out more of those poor approaches at the plate. ASISEEIT14 1 Quote
