These Word of Faith/Prosperity Gospel preachers are like priest selling indulgences during the days of Martin Luther. 

The WoF preacher says "plant your seed of faith" and Catholic Priest says pay money to get out of purgatory

Indulgences are still being sold today.  The catholic church is as strong now as it has ever been.
