Reagan Posted July 28, 2017 Report Posted July 28, 2017 The death panels are called "Payment Advisory Board." It's been described as an independent advisory board that, from the article. " This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up as a group of “unelected and unaccountable bureaucrats to make health care decisions on behalf of American families and seniors.” Wait -- I thought our socialist friends here said that there was no such thing as this "Payment Advisory Board" that makes life or death decisions for those folks that are unfortunately involved in obamacare? I know for a fact Medicare has them. Anyone that denies their existence are like the Jews who walked into the gas chambers at Auswhitch thinking they were going to take a shower. Quote

Nurses and doctors decide what procedures, hospital stays etc are approved or denied based on Interqual or Mcmillian guidelines, which are written by doctors. I have worked for several medical insurance companies in that capacity. Registered Nurses can approve, but not deny. Only doctors can do both. They use what is called a peer to peer review. Quote

Since 300,000 veterans died because they couldn't get VA healthcare, I guess whoever decided they couldn't get healthcare could be considered a death panel. I'm not asking you to defend them, because this happened in Govt run facilities, not public hospitals. I do know my father-in-law was in his late 80's and the VA found prostate cancer but wouldn't remove it. He died two years ago at 94. Hooked up to morphine. As far as I know, he was in good health at the time they found it. Quote

Of course some will die in that year. Do you agree with this Big girl? Are you okay with that? Quote
Hagar Posted October 19, 2017 Report Posted October 19, 2017 The above posted link, from 2016, was one small area of the U.K. Now the whole UK National Healthcare System is considering this. If you aren't obese, or a smoker, you may think, so what. Next time, it may be something that does affect you. Drink cokes or coffee? Eat a doughnut? Only skin cancer for non Caucasians? No more sickle cell coverage. Once the Govt controls Healthcare, they own you.
