Do statues answers prayers?

I did not think statues could answer prayers, but apperently they can oppress people. Silly me I thought it in both cases the statue was just some sort of rock. 

Min both cases whether you pray to the rock or if the rock oppresses you, it is all in your head. So don't pray to statues and don't let them oppress you either.

 Robert Lee had no problems breaking up families in slavery  and sending them off to other families. To this day, I cannot tell you much about my ancestors in slavery.

The Taliban and ISSIS tears down statues, because it offends them.  Black lives Matters, ANTIFA, the American left tears down statues. Just saying.
