TexazBall
I was in attendance, Kelly's 1st string looked like the better unit but Depth will really be an issue...After the first series they were tired from going both ways, and the 2nd string wasn't to good from the looks of it For the pirates that offense will really help them be able to slow things down and control the clock,..That last drive was pretty good, methodically drove the ball down the field no bias just coming from Mississippi and decided to stop and check out some Texas HS football RedJollyRoger and kicker 2.0
RedJollyRoger
Hats off to Coach Prouse and his 23 Pirates....What they lack in talent and numbers, they make up for in heart, conditioning and discipline. I didn't notice Kelly's "first string" or "second string" as they rotated positions every 6th play. The Pirates, on the other hand do not have that luxury. Kelly has a ton of talent, paired well with strong coaching and should do well this year. Good luck Bulldogs! The small band of Pirates capitalized on conditioning and discipline to best the Bulldogs. The new offense Prouse has instituted will rely heavily on these two characteristics to be successful. Great job and good luck to both programs and all the young men who choose everyday to work hard in the South Texas heat. TexazBall

These two things above played a big part in that. Kelly looked much improved also. Hats off to them they played hard. Coach Prouse and his staff looked well prepared with what they wanted to show during the scrimmage . If Pirates can avoid the injury bug this year they will surprise some people. Very proud of the sportsmanship showed by both teams in the scrimmage Friday. Hagar, TexazBall and RedJollyRoger

They very well did...Bulldogs had hands on hips after the 1 series, while the pirates never really looked like they got tired ..S.O to the Deweyville Coaching staff RedJollyRoger
