From what I have read, Ags built a huge lead running the ball down their throats. Wrecking crew was holding UCLA to 10 or less. Ags end up throwing the ball with a huge lead......RUN CLOCK! Cant tell what all happened, but must have been some pick sixes and fumble returns. Maybe a punt return.....wasn't posted. Will look at stat page today.

Ags had zero turnovers.  UCLA had 3

 

A&M forced a fumble at the 5 yard line.  They had been running at will.  Play calls were incomplete pass, incomplete pass, rush for 4 yards, FG.  You have to pound it in there.

Not seeing the game, and with 35 points scored in 1 1/2 quarters, I had to think multiple turnovers or punt returns.

Someone said they could have taken a knee and avoided a loss. Clock can be run from the start of second half with a huge lead. Running the ball eats up lots of clock.

It was, he still won a national championship and brought us to another with multiple 10+ win seasons and a bowl every year.

Sounds like the Aggies should've switched to the Slot T in the third quarter.  Old Jeff Matthews can teach Sumlin about running the clock.

If I were an investigative journalist, I'd be checking with Vegas to see if someone from A&M laid some big bucks on UCLA at halftime?  Et tu coach?

Some OCs like to get cute with their play calling while owning a huge lead. You know, open up the playbook and see what else they can do. The HC can always step in and put a stop to it. Can't figure what happened to the defense after holding them down for so long. Guess that's football.

Milk the play clock and run a few more run plays and bag the W. Wouldn't have been pretty but you're still 1-0. I'm far from a FB genius but I think that would have worked.

Yea, how many times did they snap the ball with 18 seconds on the play clock.  They didn't secure the win.  I had a bad feeling early in the 4th when that momentum was rolling.
