Anahuac made the decision this afternoon, they will be closed till Sept. 5

Barbers Hill has just cancelled classes and all activities for the rest of the week.  School will resume on September 5

With the water out in Beaumont until at least Monday, I would imagine BISD is not opening Tuesday.

And with most of Orange County still without power, they have to cancel school for a few more day.

Just received this message from Dr. Patterson at Orangefield ISD.  It is the first but I don't think it will be the last:

Due to the recent flooding throughout the area, Orangefield ISD will
not hold classes for the immediate future. At this time, we want to
allow our families and district patrons to be able to focus on the
care of their family, friends and neighbors. On behalf of the school
district, we pray for everyone's speedy recovery and safety. We will
continue to post updates with more accurate timelines as that
information becomes available. Our OFAM is BOBCAT STRONG! God bless
all of you.

Goose Creek CISD will now start on Monday, Sept. 11.  School board will meet next week to decide when athletics will start again.

This is all so crazy! I manage a small business and the thought of where we go from here is overwhelming, but I can't imagine what school district officials are going through right now. Where do we even begin....
