Hagar Posted August 30, 2017 Report Posted August 30, 2017 Forget politics for a few minutes. I'm praying for everyone on the coast of Texas affected by this storm. Many of our fellow posters have had their homes flooded, and most of what they own destroyed. My deepest sympathies for all. We need to pull together. We're not Dems or Repubs right now, we're Texans. Ty Cobb, Reagan, 77 and 2 others 5 Quote
Reagan Posted August 30, 2017 Report Posted August 30, 2017 Considering what has happened in other parts of Texas, I hope all in this area fared well. Quote
Hagar Posted September 3, 2017 Author Report Posted September 3, 2017 No way to put into words the devastation, the disruption, or the cost of all this. Live here my whole 72 years (first 67 in Vidor), and never seen anything historically comparable. I saw one man from Vidor posted on FB, he'd got over 60" of rain (not official), but I've seen roads houses flooded that I'd bet my life would've never flooded. What adds to Vidor's problem, there's hardly a way to get in there. Until this water goes down some, a lot of folks in Vidor, and a lot of other places, will be suffering. Again, prayers out to all.
